From the construction of a new railway station and a modern international airport to well-linked wide roads, Ayodhya is being developed as one of the country’s best tourist destinations.

Of course, the construction of Ram Mandir is one of the biggest things going on in the country, considering Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Rama. The expansion of the revered city is being called 'Navya Ayodhya'. As per future plans, the 1500 acres township will be developed as a Vastu-friendly Vedic City. The new city will also feature guest houses of about two dozen Indian states along with guest houses for five countries.

But the main focus of the new city will still remain the Ram Mandir, which is under construction. As per a conservative estimate of the tourist department, the new township will see a three-fold increase in the tourists' footfall in the coming 10 years and that more than 6.8 crore people will travel to Ayodhya by 2030.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is doing everything possible to make Ayodhya a global city. The government has asked all the officials to finish all projects by 2023, because this is the time when the sanctum sanctorum of the temple will open for devotees.

The CM has also expressed about making Ayodhya an eco-friendly city. To make this possible, the entry points of the city will feature electronic vehicles to transport devotees to the temple. To make things convenient for the devotees, all the main routes will have parking and multi-level parking areas.

On the other hand, a 200-ft high statue of Lord Rama is also in the plans. The statue will be installed on the banks of the Saryu river. Besides, plans are also to build a digital museum based on Ram to boost tourism. In future, a ropeway might also be introduced in the upcoming solar city to facilitate visitors.
