Very soon you will be able to enjoy the scenic waterways of Ernakulam aboard the solar ferries. These solar ferries have won hearts for many years now and they are finally coming to Ernakulam’s waters too.

Once the service starts, tourists will be able to go to the sea from Marine Drive for just INR 100 per hour. The two-deck vessels which are currently under construction, will be able to give you a great view of the open sea. The solar ferry is a great news because this will be a lot cheaper than the usual boat services.

Also, plans are underway to have better connectivity with the islands in and around Vembanad Lake in Kochi. The solar ferries will have connectivity to these islands. Vembanad Lake and Kochi, together, will add a tremendous amount of fun experiences. From simple cruising to birdwatching tours and visits to coastal villages, there will be no dearth of activities.
